I’m sure that a lot of people would love to try a boating holiday on the Rivers and Canals of France, but don’t want the hassle of traveling there and back, what with the problems of traffic congestion in England, continental driving, and then when you get there having to Skipper a boat that weigh’s around 25 tons.
Vent Du Nord offer a door to door service whereby you are collected from your home and chauffeured to The Marina at Auxerre in France via The Channel Tunnel. After a day settling into your boat The Skipper will take you along The Canal Du Nivernais in the regions of Burgundy and Loire is of the most scenic areas in France.

What you do on the journey is your choice you may want to walk or cycle the towpaths, visit the quaint quiet villages that don’t seem to have changed over a centuries, you might just want to sit back on the sundeck and watch the world go by while sampling some of the locally produced, Wines of the Burgundy region, Chablis, Irancy etc. There are plenty of shops around and most villages have their own markets selling locally produced food.
